1 - Approach to rotation diet

You have so far stopped gluten, dairy and other high GI products for one month.

If you digest better, probably no longer have an upset stomach, or if your skin has improved and you no longer have inflamed pimples during this test period, an intolerance to these foods may be suspected.

Benefits of the rotation diet for food hypersensitivity

In the case of food intolerance, the rotation diet has many advantages, allowing :

  • Identify the foods responsible for acne symptoms
  • Relieve the symptoms and have a better comfort of life
  • Gradually reintroduce foods to build tolerance
  • Better understand your body's reactions to foods and anticipate them

Symptoms of food intolerance or hypersensitivity

Observable symptoms may take time to manifest themselves to the detriment of health.

To date, food hypersensitivities/intolerances could partially explain certain diseases.

Here are some examples:

  • skin: hormonal acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, urticaria
  • respiratory system: allergic asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
  • musculoskeletal system: rheumatoid arthritis
  • gastrointestinal system: Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, eosinophilic esophagitis
  • nervous system: certain types of migraine, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression

Food hypersensitivity and intolerance: dietary recommendations

In case of hypersensitivity or food intolerance, it is recommended to maintain the most varied diet possible, in order to avoid nutritional deficiencies.

It is very important to follow the rotation diet as indicated below by scrupulously respecting the protocol.

This will allow you to identify the food or foods responsible for the unpleasant symptoms, to eliminate them and to find greater comfort in your life and especially in the disappearance of your acne.

A varied diet

The concept of food variety seems very simple at first glance, but few people actually apply it.

For each food, we must distinguish between form and origin.

Bread, pasta and couscous, for example, have different shapes, but they all have the same origin: they are all made from wheat.

Cheese, milk and yogurt come in three different forms, but they all come from cow's milk.

So we eat a wide variety of food forms, but not necessarily many foods from different sources.

However, it is important to eat foods from different sources.

Thus, if you eat wheat cereal for breakfast, it would be better to choose another variety of cereal, such as rice, millet or quinoa, for the other meals and for the next breakfast.

Similarly, it would be advisable not to eat the same thing mechanically every morning, but to constantly vary your diet (butter, oilseed puree, honey, etc.).

After consuming cow's milk yogurt, it is preferable to rely on other dairy products for the rest of the day. For example, goat's milk or cheese or a soy, rice or almond drink.
