3 - Food associations

Hippocrates, the father of medicine, said that you should not mix foods that are at war with each other in the digestive system.

Some foods do not have the same digestion time, nor the same place.

Together, they cause fermentation and digestive disorders that deplete our vital capital, disturb and tire our body.

The basic principle: avoid toxic mixtures for the intestines, dissociating proteins and starches.

The main rules of good associations :

  • High protein: meat, fish, poultry, seafood, cheese and eggs;
  • Low protein: legumes, mushrooms, seaweed, seitan, oilseeds (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, etc.), fresh goat and sheep cheese;
  • High carbohydrates: rice, pasta, barley, buckwheat, millet,... ;
  • Low carbohydrates: potato, sweet potato, pumpkin, chestnut, cereal flakes.
