6 - Seeds at the service of the hormonal cycle

I propose here a dietary process centered on taking four specific seeds to help improve the menstrual cycle.

This practice helps to rebalance hormonal levels and avoid the various forms of syndromes related to the menstrual cycle.

It is an additional aid in the treatment of acne.

For this to work, it is necessary to combine seeds rich in different macronutrients (proteins, lipids and carbohydrates) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals).

THE FOLLICULAR PHASE

It begins on the first day of menstruation.

During the follicular phase, the phytoestrogens in flaxseed can help regulate estrogen levels.

The zinc in pumpkin seeds helps promote progesterone production in preparation for the next phase of the cycle.

NUTRIENTS FROM PUMPKIN AND FLAX SEEDS

  • Magnesium is a hormonal regulator of acne. It plays a key role in hormonal balance, as it is essential to the functioning of the liver and helps regulate our hormones: progesterone, estrogen and testosterone. It also regulates cortisol, the stress hormone. It is also important for the adrenal glands and blood sugar regulation.
  • Zinc is a hormonal anti-acne and anti-inflammatory. It is also a progesterone booster necessary for ovulation, which promotes follicular stimulation and the release of the hormone LH. It also participates in the production of FSH which helps prepare the body for ovulation.
  • Fiber that helps bind and eliminate toxins and hormones from the digestive tract, as well as regulate insulin.
  • Fatty acids that help regulate FSH levels, reduce inflammation and promote the production of sex hormones. The conversion of linoleic acid from these seeds into other essential fatty acids helps in the production of prostaglandins, which are essential for ovulation. A disturbance in the metabolism of prostaglandins can be the cause of hormonal symptoms of acne.
