2 - Consumption of trace elements



The skin also needs trace elements for its health.

They act effectively on the beauty of our skin, hair and nails.

To fight against acne, they act as antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant.

Zinc

Cofactor of many metalloenzymes, it is involved in the synthesis of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids, cell division and membrane stability.

It also has a role in protecting the skin. Co-treatment with zinc and vitamin C shows antimicrobial effectiveness in helping to eliminate acne-causing bacteria.

  • Recommendations for adequate intake: about 13 mg per day
  • Sample servings to cover recommendations:
    • 6 hollow oysters or 3 flat oysters
    • 80 g of wheat germ
    • 150 g of beef or veal
    • 200 g dried shiitake mushrooms
    • 200 g of crab
    • 200 g pumpkin seeds
    • 250 g lobster
    • 300 g wholemeal sourdough bread
    • 300 g cashew nuts
    • 500 g turkey
    • 500 g quinoa (uncooked)
    • 1.2 kg basmati rice (uncooked)
  • Or take a supplement in the form of bisglycinate. Recommended dose: 15 to 30 mg maximum in one daily dose for three months.
