5 - Essential oils used for acne

Here is a small summary of essential oils known for their anti-acne effects.

You should not apply an essential oil pure because it irritates the skin, and that can cause a reaction of hyperseborrhea and an aggravation of the acne.

It must be diluted from 5% to 10% in neutral vegetable oil. This corresponds to one drop of essential oil in a large spoon of vegetable oil.

Don't forget to test a drop of essential oil in the crook of your elbow to make sure there is no allergic reaction.

Always consult the technical data sheets for each essential oil for contraindications and side effects.
