2 - Why taking care of yourself is not so simple

Naturopathy never suggests putting a band-aid on the symptom to silence it.

Sometimes, it even encourages the exacerbation of the symptom to eliminate it permanently.

It is normal to experience some difficult periods before your acne improves.

It takes courage to question your lifestyle and food choices and to really take care of your health.

Overview of the blocks you may encounter in this stabilization phase:

  • Fears of the environment: the way others look at our changes can be hard, especially when those others are very attached to their own habits.
    • Solution: find someone to talk to (Facebook group), stay in touch with me or another naturopath, and don't be alone with your protocol.
  • Fear of radical change: fear of not realizing and sustaining the cures/reforms over the long term.
    • Solution: take the time to implement the reform and respect its rhythm. It is possible to anchor the change gradually to avoid additional pressure.
  • Fear of responsibility: it's a big change! You will hold the course because it is not enough to take a little pill and pray that the problem will disappear.
    • Solution: trust yourself, know how to ask for help when you need it. Set goals and congratulate yourself on your daily victories.

When seeking to correct a disorder or condition with naturopathy, one quickly realizes that the effects have a global resonance.

Are you consulting for acne? The improvements will not only be felt in your skin, but also in your digestive system, your sleep, your energy, your hormones, etc.

The effort is worth it!

The best doctor is you!

You may not know it yet, but with experience, you will know when it is time to start a detox or stop an herbal medicine.

If you can't manage to impose this or that new habit, even though it is very good for your health, you will understand that it is certainly not for you.

The intelligence of the body is immense, know how to listen to what it whispers to you, even if it does not always express itself very loudly.
